Mini Dental Implants

What You Should Know

The MDI System comprises a miniature titanium implant that acts like the root of your tooth, a retaining fixture that is incorporated into the crown, and bridges that can be used also in the base of your denture. The implant fixtures allow for micro-mobility while withstanding natural lifting forces.

Where Can It Be Used

Mini Dental Implants can be used in full and sectional bridge or in full denture integration.

When critically needed for support purposes, and where solid bony adaptation (integration) has clearly occurred, mini implants can function as long-term supporting structures rather than as short-term or medium-term devices. In fact, some implants have been successfully functioning in patients' jaws for several decades. In the past several years, some clinicians have been utilizing MDIs for single tooth replacements and in crown and bridge cases.

Ronaldo Lareta - Mini Dental Implants

Ronaldo Lareta (Before and After)

After loosing several of my teeth in a vehicular accident in Dubai and had consulted many Dentists, the wearing of "DENTURES" was the only solution available on the book as I was told.

The misery of having to wear a conventional dentures can't really cross my mind. I'd rather be without denture than having them...let alone it is rather ancient and indifferent.

Until I came across with Mini Dental Implants at the Sacred Heart Dental Clinic. I had six (6) mini dental implants and have scheduled another four more soon.

Overall conclusions about the service of Sacred Heart Dental Clinic are:

  1. Financial consideration--- very competitive
  2. Personalized service---yes
  3. Minor discomfort --- yes
  4. Installation of the abutments or crown ---quick and precise
  5. Time between the embedding of the titanium posts up to the final installation of the crowns is about one week. Now that was fast, wasn't it?

Our Services

Dental Bridge

A bridge is designed to provide a patient, who is missing a tooth or teeth in the same area of the mouth, the opportunity to have a false tooth made to fill the existing space. This is done by crowning the teeth on the either side of the space and attaching a false tooth/teeth to the crowns.

Dental Crown

A crown can be made from either gold or porcelain and is a cap that is specially designed to cover a tooth. Teeth are generally crowned for: (a) cosmetic reasons; (b) the tooth may have fractured or a considerable amount of the tooth is filling leaving the tooth weak and susceptible to further breakage; and (c) the tooth may have had Root Canal Treatment and is therefore weaken and liable to fracture. Crowns may be Captek gold ceramic, all ceramic, or metal Ceramic.

The use of dentures is an easy way of replacing missing teeth, and is a lot more affordable than implant or bridge work. We are able to construct dentures for single tooth replacement, partial tooth loss, or replacement of all teeth. Dentures are constructed during a few visits to our practice. During the visit, we take impressions of the mouth and gradually construct a denture to suit every patient's individual needs.

Filling is a tooth retaining (conservative) treatment to restore the crown or the root destruction of the tooth (mostly caused by caries and trauma). Thanks to the continuous development of technology, nowadays the once popular amalgam fillings are mostly replaced by aesthetic fillings.

Dental Implants

We have introduced a new technology to minimize discomfort and healing times when using and installing implants. Our "immediately loadable implants" use the latest in minimal-invasive surgery. The gum is not cut, meaning that there is almost no swelling or damage; therefore the patient will only experience minimal discomfort. In addition, the implants we use are high-tech German-made single units. If your bone structure is good enough to support this technology, then you can leave with a new, permanent smile after only a week!

Teeth Whitening

Tooth Whitening

Teeth whitening can be done in two different methods: (1) the home whitening system, prepared in our dental office and completed by you at home; and (2) an in-office whitening system which is completed in one visit. The in-office tooth whitening system uses a whitening solution that is stronger than the home whitening solution. The teeth to be whitened are isolated and kept dry. The whitening solution is applied to the teeth and is activated by shining a high intensity light source on each tooth. This procedure is repeated three times, and in about one hour the teeth are noticeably whiter. Patients are cautioned against the use or intake of any foods or substances (red wine, coffee, tea, tobacco products, blueberries, etc.) that may cause staining for 48 hours after in-office whitening.

Veneers can be either made of composite or porcelain and are designed to cover unsightly teeth that are perhaps discolored or chipped. They adhere to the original tooth surface and will provide you with a perfect smile for years. Porcelain veneers are thin, semi-transparent porcelain "shells" that are bonded to your teeth. There are many advantages to having porcelain veneers placed on your front teeth. The natural tooth structure is maximally preserved. Only a small amount of tooth structure is removed. Individual teeth of dissimilar color and contour can be beautifully matched beyond detection with porcelain veneers. The porcelain veneer process actually laminates and strengthens the tooth with a layer of porcelain. A healthy, natural and beautiful smile is achieved with porcelain veneers.
